It's an aircooled show but everyone is welcome at Field of Dreams!
Held in the beautiful grounds of Escrick Park Estate just 15 minutes by car from the beautiful city of York, Field of Dreams welcomes everyone to camp for the weekend, or simply spend a day enjoying the atmosphere and company of VW enthusiasts, the music we all like and the child friendly experience. The show arena is strictly aircooled only, as are the aircooled camping areas, but there is a general camping area so that all can come and show some love to these old beauties. Field of Dreams Aircooled VW show 2026 promises to offer the usual chilled out relaxed setting for you to enjoy, this includes the ever growing line up of classic aircooled Volkswagens.
If you haven't yet attended this festival, come along and check it out, you won't be disappointed. Ticket prices are a bargain especially when you consider what's on offer: aircooled autojumble, live bands and acoustic acts, food traders and a great bar, VW gift traders, , dog show, children's activities, weekend camping just 15 minutes from York city centre which means you can also pop in for some sightseeing in this beautiful historic City for a fraction of the cost that you'd pay for a campsite so close and with much more on offer!

There have been a lot of discussions about shows recently and those saying they don't go to Vw shows anymore as they're not what they used to be. When I started FoD, this was my main reason, I could see things changing at the shows and not for the better, many of the shows were just letting anything in as all that mattered was the amount of money they made by the end of the weekend, others were general VW shows, which was fine if that's what you wnated. I remembered the shows of the past when it was all about getting together with friends, having a good old rummage throught the autojumble and standing around talking about each others cars, I wanted this feel back - I wanted it to be about the cars again, not about what else there was to do, the point of a VW Show was meant to be VWs! So, when many said I was crazy to start an aircooled show I went ahead and started one anyway! - as that was what I wanted. So, I want you to come along, rummage through the autojumble, talks about your engine, talk about your aircooled, tell us what you've done to it, get advice about what to do with it and relax with friends!
FoD will be back for year 13 in 2026 and wish to thank those who have supported me from the very first year and all the years since. I think FoD can definitely now be classed as a well established show and is here to stay! FoD12 was without a doubt the best yet and we'll just make FoD2026 even better. I really can't wait to welcome you all through the gates again. Let's make #FoD13 another one to remember!
